Nordregio, an international research institute for regional development and planning, is currently seeking a new Junior Research Fellow (full time from 1st November 2024, subject to agreement):
In particular, Nordregio is looking for candidates with an educational background and/or experience in social sciences and with knowledge and interest in one or more of the following fields:
- Sustainable rural development
- Innovative and resilient regions
- Sustainable cities and urban planning
- Relevant topics: e.g. housing, planning, governance, transport, green transition, inclusion, skills, digitalization, health, food, etc. – which have relevance for sustainable regional development.
The position as Junior Research Fellow requires i.a.:
- a master’s degree (300 ECTS) or equivalent and preferrably a few years of work experience in a relevant field. The degree should be in a social science discipline aligned with at least one of the research fields above (e.g. economics, political science, sociology, geography, planning or similar).
- The geographic scope of your fields of interest includes the Nordic countries as well as pan-European perspectives.
- Fluent in English and a Nordic language.
