Ecological Assessment Field Assistant Internship

  • JOB LOCATION AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Field Assistants will report to a NYC Parks site that can be located in all five boroughs but that is accessible via public transportation. From there they will be driven to data collection locations in all five boroughs. Alternate reporting locations for training and meetings may be required. Field Assistants are responsible for independently commuting to and from reporting locations while communicating with their team regarding transportation plans.
  • DURATION: May 20, 2024 - September 30, 2024 (35 hours/week), 5 days a week/7 hours a day + 1 hour lunch break; 2 weeks dedicated to training from May 20th to May 31st with field data collection starting on June 3rd. Start date can be made flexible based on unique circumstances or school commitments.
  • COMPENSATION/BENEFITS: $18.50/hr. As a seasonal position, the role is paid for hours worked and is not eligible for medical benefits. This position will accrue sick/safe leave in accordance with company policy.
